Why do I write? The answer to that question changes from day to day and from year to year. At the suggestion of a friend who would later be a mentor to me, I put a pen in hand to release a myriad of thoughts. Amazingly after forty years, I am still writing. I resolved that I write as a catharsis, as a means of expression, as a way to address thought-provoking social issues, and as an opportunity to put into words what others can't.
