Unstoppable

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Proverbs 8:37

The BATTLE. The fight for the most precious commodities of all: life and time. A few receive extended grace, and the others, not so much. The culprit and catalyst for this fight is disease, legalism, separation, false teaching, misplaced faith, lack of faith, etc. The cause of the battle of life and time is infinite.

So what is the person(s) on the sideline to do while this fight is happening? Do we sit? Do we cry? Do we swear? Do we listen? Do we become angry? Do we deny? Do we give up? Do we give in? Do we exact revenge? Do we lose ourselves? Or do we just sit? Every person and every situation is different. But, no matter what the circumstance may be, we must be fully prepared.

Many of us possess a warrior spirit. It is a fierce spirit that protects, encourages, gives drive, and never succumbs. It is the necessary warrior spirit that we carry in order to combat illnesses, protect our families, disassociate ourselves from false relationships, and maintain our faith. This is the same spirit that gives us strength to mourn, to grieve, to persevere, to pray, and to move forward, making us unstoppable. The warrior spirit is like modern-day armor that is worn to protect us. Ephesians 6 reminds us that we need to be prepared for battle:

Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out. Ephesians 6:13-18 (MSG)

Life is not finished with us yet. There will be trials and tribulations. There will be grief and pain. Anticipate the unexpected.. knowing this, are we clothed and carrying an unstoppable spirit?
