This passage of scripture from John 14:1-6 has been one of my favorites since childhood.
“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many rooms. If
it were not so, would I have told you that
I am going to prepare a place for you? If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also. You know the way to where I am going.”
“Lord,” Thomas said, “we don’t know
where you’re going. How can we know the way?” Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.“
There is something comforting in knowing that there is a way and a hope. Jesus is the embodiment of truth and says he’s the only way for us to come to the Father. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Is this statement now enough, and how human are we that we would like to see a sign, a miracle, an introduction to God? Very human. Philip, a disciple, asked, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough of us.” The answer Jesus gave was priceless, “Don’t you know me Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life to God”.

Whatever you ask you shall receive if you ask it in my name.
For if you see and believe in me, you have seen the Father and believe Him too.
My child I have gone forth to prepare a place for you.

We must take a look at ourselves,
Examine our lives, see what we’ve become.
Are we living in this world for man?
Are we living in this world for Christ?
Will you wait until the judgment day to decide?
Christ has given us the word
To believe in Him and to show our faith.
For if we do as He has said
If we love and obey as He commands
We will see the Father in eternity.
He has a room for you and me.
